Welcome to Mander Coaching

My experience

Hi, my name is Vanya Mander and I am excited to meet you!

From and early age I had a passion for learning and in particular, learning new languages. The more I was learning, the more I was able to communicate with people and understand the world around me.

Lead by my explorative nature, I left my home country Bulgaria when I was 19 years old to study in France. I find discovering different territories, people, traditions most enriching. This lead me to explore other countries too. I lived, studied and worked so far in France, Russia, Bulgaria, Belgium and the UK.

Moving from place to place was not easy. All those experiences contributed so much though to adapt to change quickly, to different people and cultures continuously, getting out of my comfort zone and building my resilience.

After I have graduated from university, I started working in the private sector in big IT corporations holding different process roles and moving at a later stage to the Financial sector in large companies or start-ups being involved in project management, individual, team and organisational coaching.

What was puzzling me often in the early stages of my career was why, although people speak the same language, they often don`t understand each other. And this is when I started exploring myself. I was lucky to be in a good environment where I had the support to do so as well and discovered different ways how we can truly understand each other and oneself beyond words.

I am also a mum, a wife, a daughter, a sister and someone`s friend and like most people, I am motivated to do good in this world. I would love that we further connect!

My values

  • Everyone is unique and at the same time we are so similar. The true magic of collaboration happens when we manage to leverage on each others differences and various perspectives.

  • There is so much out there to explore and learn. Being naturally curious, asking questions to find more and taking natural interest in others helps me to discover this world!

  • Change is only possible and starts from within. Having the self-awareness and the connection with oneself is the key to lead a fulfilling life. Having honest relationships with others and the ability to foster those genuine connections has the potential to change our world

  • Anyone can do anything. It is just a matter of passion and how deeply we desire it. We can learn anything if we want to and what determines our success at it is whether or not we have the courage to further explore and practice deliberately.

  • Everything connects together. Being in synchronisation with oneself and with a group of people aligned to a bigger mission makes change possible. We are all pulling strongly and going towards that direction together and having lots of fun and fulfilment along the way.

  • Leadership is a hat and behaviour that we cultivate regardless of our job title. I also believe that the most important leadership skill nowadays is to lead with compassion: being empathetic, understand the perspectives of others regardless of whether we agree with them or not and being ready to help.
